【摘要】:Thehealthofworkersinmanyindustriesisatriskthroughexposurebyinhalationtotoxicmetalsandmetalloids.Industrialhygienistsandotherpublichealthprofessionalsneedtodeterminetheeffectivenessofmeasurestakentocontrolworkplaceexposure.Thisisgenerallyachievedbymakingworkplaceairmeasurements.Thistestmethodhasbeendevelopedtomakeavailableastandardmethodologyforvalidexposuremeasurementsforawiderangeofmetalsandmetalloidsthatareusedinindustry.Itwillbeofbenefittoagenciesconcernedwithhealthandsafetyatwork;analyticallaboratories;industrialhygienistsandotherpublichealthprofessionals;industrialusersofmetalsandmetalloidsandtheirworkers;andothergroups.ThisstandardtestmethodspecifiesagenericmethodfordeterminationoftheconcentrationofmetalsandmetalloidsinworkplaceairsamplesusingICP-MS.Formanymetalsandmetalloids,analysisbyICP-MSmaybeadvantageous,whencomparedtomethodssuchasICPatomicemissionspectrometry,duetoitssensitivityandthepresenceoffewerspectralinterferences.Theanalysisresultscanbeusedfortheassessmentofworkplaceexposurestometalsandmetalloidsinworkplaceair.1.1Thisstandardtestmethodspecifiesaprocedureforsamplepreparationandanalysisofairborneparticulatematterforthecontentofmetalsandmetalloidsinworkplaceairsamplesusinginductivelycoupledplasmax2013;massspectrometry(ICP-MS).1.2ThisstandardtestmethodassumesthatsampleswillhavebeencollectedinaccordancewithTestMethodD7035.1.3ThisstandardtestmethodshouldbeusedbyanalystsexperiencedintheuseofICP-MS,theinterpretationofspectralandmatrixinterferencesandproceduresfortheircorrection.1.4Thisstandardtestmethodspecifiesanumberofalternativemethodsforpreparingtestsolutionsfromsamplesofairborneparticulatematter.Oneofthespecifiedsamplepreparationmethodsisapplicabletothemeasurementofsolublemetalormetalloidcompounds.Otherspecifiedmethodsareapplicabletothemeasurementoftotalmetalsandmetalloids.1.5Itistheuser''sresponsibilitytoensurethevalidityofthestandardmethodforfiltersofuntestedmatrices.1.6Table1providesanon-exclusivelistofmetalsandmetalloidsforwhichoneormoreofthesampledissolutionmethodsspecifiedinthisdocumentisapplicable.1.7Thisstandardtestmethodisnotapplicabletocompoundsofmetalsandmetalloidsthatarepresentinthegaseousorvaporstate.1.8NodetailedoperatinginstructionsareprovidedbecauseofdifferencesamongvariousmakesandmodelsofsuitableICP-MSinstruments.Instead,theanalystshallfollowtheinstructionsprovidedbythemanufactureroftheparticularinstrument.Thistestmethoddoesnotaddresscomparativeaccuracyofdifferentdevicesortheprecisionbetweeninstrumentsofthesamemakeandmodel.1.9ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.10Thisstandardtestmethodcontainsnotesthatareexplanatoryandarenotpartofthemandatoryrequirementsofthemethod.1.11Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
