【摘要】:Forpetroleumproductsanddieselfuels,thecloudpointisanindexofthelowesttemperatureofitsutilityforcertainapplications.Waxcrystalsofsufficientquantitycanplugfiltersusedinsomefuelsystems.Petroleumblendingoperationsrequireprecisemeasurementofthecloudpoint.Thistestmethodcandeterminethetemperatureofthetestspecimenatwhichwaxcrystalshaveformedsufficientlytobeobservedasacloud,witharesolutionof0.1x00B0;C.ThistestmethodprovidesresultsthatwhenroundedtothenextlowerintegerareequivalenttoTestMethodD2500.ThistestmethodismoreprecisethanTestMethodD2500.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedescriptionofthedeterminationofthecloudpointofpetroleumproductsandbiodieselfuelsthataretransparentinlayers40mminthicknessbyanautomaticinstrumentusingalinearcoolingrate.1.2Thistestmethodcoverstherangeoftemperaturesfromx2212;60to49x00B0;Cwithtemperatureresolutionof0.1x00B0;C,however,therangeoftemperaturesincludedinthe1997interlaboratorycooperativetestprogramonlycoveredthetemperaturerangeofx2013;56to+34x00B0;C.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
